Western Regional Meeting: Call for Papers
The Call for Papers for the 2025 Western Regional Meeting (WRM) is now open! We are excited to receive submissions for oral and poster presentations, please use this link for abstract submission. The deadline for acceptance of abstracts is July 21, 2025.
We have planned an exciting line-up of symposia and special events at WRM 2025, please see this summary for further details with respect to our preliminary conference schedule! Sign-up for the special events listed will be available soon via the registration portal (check our website in early June for additional details).
We are excited to feature 3 plenary lectures (see Highlights). There will also be two poster sessions, an exposition, and several special events such as a “Chemistry of Beer” dinner, a Trivia Night, as well as Careers in Industry and Academia panel discussions. The meeting will also feature a full day of programming geared towards undergraduate students majoring in chemistry and related fields in the regional universities and community colleges. The day’s activities will include various student-centered workshops, a career / internship / graduate school / undergraduate transfer fair, and oral and poster presentations by the students themselves.
We are pleased to offer 34 technical symposia derived from 14 distinct tracks, which will run in eight concurrent sessions: “Agricultural and Food Chemistry”, “Analytical Chemistry”, “Biochemistry and Chemical Biology”, “Chemical Education”, “Chemistry Entrepreneurship”, “Chemistry and the Law”, “Chemistry and Our Communities”, “Chemical Safety”, “Energy and Fuels”, “Inorganic and Materials Chemistry”, “Medicinal Chemistry”, “Organic Chemistry”, “Polymer Chemistry”, and “Physical and Computational Chemistry”. There will also be an opportunity to contribute papers to a general session.
You may view the full symposia list below: for full descriptions (including contact information for organizers for each symposium) please see the official Call for Abstracts website here.
